I am a running coach and physiotherapist Simo Syrjäläinen. The passion to help people has led me first to a career as a physiotherapist and a little later to running coaching. As a physiotherapist, I bring a lot of my professional expertise to running coaching, which I use to ensure that runners are able to train and compete at their full potential, avoid injuries and recover optimally in their everyday life. Managing the workload and reacting correctly to problems ensure the continuation of training when problems rear their head.

My running coaching career started with leading groups and building running communities. Along the way, I have coached dozens of groups of different lengths and given individual coaching from beginners to national team level runners. The best part of the journey has been meeting hundreds of runners on light jogs, doing intervals or at the physiotherapist's office and learning what running means to them and where they draw their motivation from.

Koutsimo Running Coaching is a running coaching service developed from these experiences supported by my knowledge of physiology and human movement. The focus of my running coaching is community, learning, team spirit and communication, which form the basis for the success of long-term training and the achievement of goals.
